butt dents?

ok ..so my hull at the bow has a dent on both sides about the place someones ass would be had the laid on it,,,just a guess. There about 2 ft around, but not structualy damaged or cracked, butt their there. Is there a fix, and should no one be one this area of the bow? hate to glass anything with good paint,,,maybe a fix from below??

Reading this post all I can think is maybe your passagers are a bit to big for the boat!:rof:Never heard of someone denting fiberglass.

I agree...someone was a bit large!...however, they were there when i bought the boat....there more like indentations...I will try to get a pic and post it...should the bow hold the weight of a average size person walking on it? or should no one be walking or laying across the bow?

Are you certain the previous owners didn't invest in a costly aerodynamic, racing enhancement kinda like the dimples on a golf ball?
Just thinking out loud.

My enchanter has a bit of jelly deck just ahead of the windshield on one side. Have you looked at the underside? Mine has a single rib and looks to be cored on either side of that. I would say check those areas and see what they are cored with and repair your soft spots. Otherwise, i wouldn't be walking on those areas.

Fiberglass doesn't dent, however maybe while being stored something heavy was left on it for a long period of time causing it to warp.

Houston..we have a problem....think you are going to have to stiffen up those area's from below, glass in some wood after jacking the deck back up flush..

LMAO....I thought it was...damn fat chicks!...it is 30 years old...other than the "fat" indentations...shes in perfect shape....

If you "jack" it back into position, I would suggest doing it in a warm or hot climate. Things tend to move better in the warm.

Nice boat by the way!

How do we know those aerodynamic sculptings don't increase top-end speed? Especially now that the fat people are gone?

hmm...good question but, not sure how it would increase top speed....maybe out of the hole?...defiantly have a few ideas how to fix it..just didnt know if i needed too. other than it looking weird...still pretty strong.

thanks hotdaddy...I think she a looker too...had it for 8 years and she has always performed...of course Ive replace the floor added stringers and keep her clean...unique to this area...the locals call her "the go fast boat"...

so I looked a little closer under the bow...is there a foam or balsa core in it?...it seems to be separated from the top skin....
