Checkmate Regatta/Poker Run In Ohio

Just wondering? Is there going to be a boat dock in the harbor close to the cook out,for the day of the poker run, or do we have to put the boat back on the trailer or rent a dock?

I'm gonna have a cookout that Friday so if you are down in Bucyrus to tour the factory stop in bring your boat grab a burger and a beverage and hang out for awile.

Regarding the docking situation the day of the poker run: we will have a maximum of 100 docks available all day to the participants of the poker run. If anyone plans to leave their boat in the water over night, Lyman Harbor is charging $1.40 per foot.

looks like the wife and i are coming out for the weekend without the kids.hope to be there fri mid morning. all i need is to receive my packet and we will be set!

The Water Street Launch Ramp has a $5 ramp fee.

And if our boats were not originally equipped with a lanyard kill switch, do we need to install one to be able to participate in the run?

Regarding the boat ramp: There is a another boat ramp on BayShore Road called Dempsey Access. It is a state dock with no ramp fee. We are hoping to talk to the City of Sandusky Boat Ramp about waving or at least lowering the ramp fee, but we can't promise anything. Regarding the lanyards: we are requiring all drivers to wear the lanyards if your boat is equipped with one. If your boat does not have a lanyard, you can still participate in the poker run. We are just looking for safety first!

Sorry about the State Troopers that wear the mirrored sunglasses with the mirrors on the inside!!!!
I cannot wait to get there!!!
It will be great to meet everyone finally.

Disturbed, Next time you visit your sister, bring the mate and we will set up a get together at one of the local lakes. Just watch your speed!!!!(I have three tickets in TX in my 18wheeler)

Sounds like a plan dave, I think we are going to try to head down in august sometime.. We will get togather at the regetta and see if we can plan somthing....

got my packet today and showed it to my cousin, he also has a checkmate and wants to go. Can I just make him a copy of the regisration sheet to give or should I get him a whole packet

If you know anyone who owns a Checkmate and would like to participate in the poker run/regatta, we encourage you to make them a copy of the registration so that they can join the fun.

The best budget inn was apx. $40 less a nite on fri & sat nites and apx. $25 less on weeknites than the others that were open to for the season to ansewer the phone.I only called the ones located on Cleveland Ave (route 6) since they are less than a mile from Lyman Harbor. The 4 located on route 6 are practicly next door to each other.

I am planning on sending my registration for myself and my wife, does anyone know if it's possible to add additional crew members at a later date?
Thanks,
Steve H.

We would like to have all registrations and entry fees for the poker run/regatta in by May 28. Additional crew members can be added until June 15. Lyman Harbor is asking that we have a total number of people attending the poker run/regatta to them (for the food order) by that date. Due to food limitations, we will not be able to accept additional registrations and/or crew members past June 15.

We are not accepting boat registrations after the May 27th deadline and additional crew will be allowed until when the final count must be given to Lyman Harbour for amount of food, drink and other items needed. All questions are welcomed to make this easy and fun for all.
Jon
