Checkmate Weekend Chesapeake Bash 2012

Maybe the water at peak high tide washed the yellow off the outside. The interior still seems to have retained its color though:

Anyone got names of a few good ramps with overnight parking to consider for those of us not familiar with the area?

Wanting somewhere to leave the car/trailer overnight on the Saturday after launching on the Saturday morning, and heading home on the Sunday at some point.

I need to get in gear! Still haven't even been wet this year. Gonna try again on sunday. If no more dumb surprises then a cleaning and I'm ready.

Shake Down

Went to river yesterday , I'm thinking the accelarater pump needs rebuilt . motor bogging down trying to advance past mid rpm range . also falls flat on its face if dopping the hammer from stand still ...
Atleast it don't leak water in .
whatta u think ?

Steve

I copied this post and put it the outboard tech tread .

I think you can leave your truck and trailer overnight at "Ferry Point". Might have to pay both days ramp fee. They also have rest rooms and showers, nothing fancy but clean. Here is the link;

Give them a call. I use their ramp. It is close to the island. I was hoping to be in the water by now, and get some first hand info., but had to do some work on my intake for the jet drive. Plan on splashing her next weekend for a shake down run. I will ask when I go down there.

Two weeks away, looking forward to it!
:cheers:

Wife wants to know what to get at store for me to take on my trip.
Whats the plans for dinners, lunches etc. I can bring whatever but would like to not bring the same as everyone else.

Hey Keith I'm not going but if I were I would expect you to bring PINK SALMON on the grill with a bit of lemon and s&p:thumb:

Man I wish it wasn't such a long drive for me!
