It's funny, when I bought my 219, only had the 250 hp, the seller told me it would run 70. I actually called checkmate and asked them. They said the 300 hp ones run that fast but most of the carbd ones do not but some do. Man it took a long time and three different props before I even hit 60 on the GPS. There is a 218 on power boat listings that claims 75 with a 300 hp 350. I'm very doubtful. My motor ran really well and didn't see anything close to those numbers.
I was proud owner of Fast94's persuader for 3 years. What a fun boat.
I want to say it was the 270 hp mag and agree it ran great, but best I ever saw was 63 gps. It was always about 6 mph faster than that on the dream-o-meter though.
