Have a 1978 checkmate Enchanter. Its the outboard hull, 20' 1''. I bought the boat several years ago, and several years later, its still not finished. Right now, i place more value on the garage space than the boat.
I took the deck off, and gutted the boat. Replaced the transom, stringers, and have partially put the floor in. Fabricated a gas tank to sit beneath the floor and between the stringers.
All the glass work was done with 1708, polyester resin, and hull and deck putty. I do have a trailer for it, but i didn't finish it either. It is however, tow-able. It would make a nice project for someone with a little more motivation than i have for it right now.
I have 70 or so photos of the build in a zipped file. If interested, send an email and i'll shoot them over.

Lockleark, one of my best friends is very interested. He's helped me rig all my boats through the years and has been a rigger for Sonic, Apache and Active Thunder boats in the past. Shoot him an email to:

We have enough spare parts to get her back on the water!!

What a shame you need to get rid of her. It looks like you've done a great job so far and it would definitely make a nice project boat for someone to finish. Best of luck with finding her a new home.:thumb: Jim

No, all the interior was rotten and beyond repair when i got it. The gauges and control were already taken out of it as well.

I talked with Tim and it looks like he's going to come down and get the enchanter. Thanks Jupiter, and thank you checkmate forums.

Thank you Jupiter. Tim said he would be here tomorrow. We are getting dumped on right now, and there is some unfinished wood in the hull that i really don't want to get wet. Hopefully the rain will be cleared out of here by tomorrow.

Thanks again Jupiter:thumb:
