Geico won't insure Checkmate !!!??????

i have full coverage through state farm- mice ate the**** out of my seats and they said they would cover it! so-i took a day off work and got 2 bids like my agent wanted........... 3 days later i get a call from the state farm headquarters and the guy says that my seats are NOT covered due to the mice being rodents........ this is after my local agent told me that it would all be covered!!!! remind you of the "ficus" commercial?????????????? **** them!

620.00 a year Allstate 35000.00 stated Value 2700.00 on trailer 500hp stated on policy.

Covers everything even if it falls off the trailer going down the road. Or I run into it with my tractor. Or if I miss place it and can't find it.

Never had any claims

big red- you and every body else on here! it's free- they told me(state farm) that if i was to hit a floating log and hurt something it was covered along w/ many other things....... interior- all covered no matter what! check your policy- it could save your wallet!!!!! first hand expirience! ross

Allstate " My agent " would be stupid to shaft me on a claim. I have 2 homes 2 shops 6 vehicles 1 boat and life insurance/ investment policy with him. No tickets showing and never had a claim " YET ". He knows I will just take my biz somewhere else.

He said my boat insurance did cover hitting stuff in the water. My rate is a little higher but with the HP stated. I was scared to lie in case I sank it, I want my money.

just a thought-my father re-tired at 39 years of age if that says anything for money and investments- that means nothing to an agent like that all they see is that you can aford to fix your own ****! he has many different agents for that reason and that reason only. don't check your policy that costs nothing and it could bite you in the ass later-just trying to help and maybe save you some money or a headache down the road god forbid something happen to a fellow checkmate brother!

state farm does me proud i used to bundle it house cars boat , but travelers has all but the mate no deal cuz its high performance boat !

Sate Farm's been great for me. Got it for $560 a year. Have 50k on boat(500hp) and 5k on trailer. Had to be stern with them to insure it(being a performance boat) and couldn't have any tickets. No claims as of yet!

State farm all the way !!! they have been great to me....I had a 32,000 claim on my gibson last year, storm damage that took out both engines..long story they paid for new engines with NO depreciation !!!! also have my 251 insured with them, Rob

Thats good to know that they will take care of storm damage too.
I know that I'm covered if someone runs into me when I'm trailering, agent told me this when I placed insurance on the boat when I brought it home.

I'm with most of you guys here. State farm covers two vehicles, boat, home and life insurance policies. We've haven't had a bit of trouble.

Geico was easy and they pushed it to a company called ski & safe, $253 year.

My Starflight really needs an engine before I can worry about insurance...

Sure, It's Landon Kovacs. But, I think they go by territory and I see you are in NH. That could be a difference. Also, $253 sounds really cheap to me. And one more thing I could not have any points on my drivers license at all and 500hp was the limit or they would not insure it. I had to talk with them for a while. Even had to talk to the underwriters! They were telling me that they didn't insure anything that went over 55 mph. I argued with them that they insured my other boat and it was able to do 60! Anyway, after the whole thing was done they agreed and insured it. Good luck.

I tried stste farm, nationwide, progressive, travelers, allstate, and they all said NO that Checkmate was a performance boat and they could not cover them. I called Kip and he gave me the name of a dealer in NJ that is also an ins. agent and he hooked me up with a company called Ace. $335 a year. boatman
