Had a little fun with a water cop today!

I took the newly rigged 25 Liberator out today with the wifey. We were coming home about 45 mph when we saw a cop boat trying to catch up to us. We got to the idle zone where he stayed on plane to catch up to us. By the end of the zone he was almost next to us. I don't know what his intentions were, but he was sure coming up on us fast. I didn't look over, but Renee said he was staring a hole through us. I got on plane before him and just kept it at 100mph for about 10 miles. She asked if that was a smart thing to do. I said "What? We are'nt doing anything wrong! We never saw him again! HeHeHe!

Cool

That is great! I love sticking it to "The Wet Police". :bounce:
and also,,, that is one great looking boat !

Further evidence that under most conditions, triple digit speeds on the water makes you top gun. I like the boat. I would have liked to have seen the look on his face as you disappeared in the distance.

Yeah, I was wondering what he thought too. Renee was watching him, but once I hit the gas, she said she couldn't see through the rooster tails!

Ha ha thats awesome. Our water cops like to stop people in the middle of the channel that is only two boats wide & screw traffic flow up. They tried stop me there once. I just kept going & said if need me I am going to the lake cause its to busy stop here safely. They just gave me a strange look & said ok.

After 10 long months of renovation, it took me less than two hours to get a ticket the first time the boat hit the water!!! I chalked up the $90.00 ticket to $1.00 for every mph...it was worth it!!:bigthumb:

Nice job Randy,
there sure is something to be said for those hotrod outboard boats. I can't imagine being able to run 100 mph for 10 miles. Now that would be cool.

nice story i had a similar one but i only had to hold it at 60(my cruising speed at 3000 rpms) it was a nice tight 4ft roller day on the lake and the local sheriffs only have a 21 ft boat it was really fun watching them beat the living crap out of themselves trying to catch up we all got a pretty good chuckle sounds like that boat of yours is a real screamer

Maybe he was asking if you would be interested in selling that boat.. :bigthumb:

Randy, how do you like your Ram P/U?

I always buy GM's, but I've been eyeballing the new Rams as their interiors are so much nicer then the current GM's.

I've always had Chevys. Everyone has one, so I looked at GMC's. I never cared for the look of the Rams until the 2010's came out. I got $12K off on the new Dodge Power Wagon, but it sucked gas bad. I just love this new Ram diesel. I get compliments on it where ever I go! And it pulls like a tank. 650 lbs of torque!

Thanks Randy.

I was looking at the Laramie 5.7L Hemi Crew in Black with Black leather.

We had a 2008 GMC Sierra Crew and when we took it back at lease end, GM wasn't leasing in Canada and the financing packages sucked big time. So we decided to just wait it out for a bit as we had a spare clunker we could drive for a bit.

The pricing is a bit better now on the GM's but the Ram is so much nicer and still a bit cheaper too. The advantage of the GM's are longer warranty, 160K/6 Years versus 5/100K on the Ram, the GM's are better on gas as they have the 6 speed autos and my other concern is the resale value on the Ram which will probably be lower in a few years versus the Sierra.

We're still just holding on for now, but we'll probably pull the trigger on something in a few months I think.

to put this thread back on track....
Randy, That cops probabaly looking for you right now. So it would be in your best intrest to ship that boat up to me to keep it hidden for the next 6-7 years. I will take good care of it so you can have it back when the statute of limitations runs out. One other thing. Can you make it a 21, the 25 is too big for my lake. . Please make sure the gas tank is topped and a cooler full of beer, (boat hiding is thursty work).
PM me for the shippng address :D:D:D
