The plug looks good, but the watch WOW!!
Good luck with the boat, and it is enjoyable to read about the journey.

Brand: TW steel. Model TW 703. Retail 500 dollar
This one i got for 100 dollar bc of doing a lot of extra work on their salesshows in germany.
Its a sponsor of the racing team i work for. I have around 30 of all different models of TW steel at home. I get it through the racing team at cost price of TW steel. I love those watches, and they are pumping big money into our team. And they are very nice people too.

The guy at my merc dealer was telling me about getting the 7,4 from 310hp to approx 500hp without charging it. They told me to rebuild the engine than. Is that a good way to tune it up? Intake switch etc.
Is the bravo rated at 500hp?
The EFI system on those 310 HP motors suck! Same intake as what came on GM pickups from 1996-2000. Extremely flow limited. It would never flow 500 HP. The injectors, MEFI computer, and such could be easily adapted over to a different intake. I would suggest the Edelbrock Pro-flo XT as the throttle body would even swap over to that. You have to be careful supercharging those motors as they don't have the nice forged internals the "magnum" motors do. Your motor is basically the same motor that I just pulled out of my boat, only yours is EFI. But yes, you can easily get 500hp out of that motor with a nice rebuild. I would refresh the bottom end and probably put in some nicer pistons. You will also want to change the heads as that motor has the Peanut Port heads. A set of iron 088 rectangle port heads will get you where you want to be, but if you have the extra money to spend, I would recommend aluminum heads. After that, change the cam and put on some nice exhaust and you should be close to your power goals. I am not sure how well the EFI system on that boat reacts to changes, you might want to look into that. You might end up having to have the ECM reprogrammed. Or you could go the easy route and swap the EFI out for a carburetor and aluminum intake!!
And yes, the bravo will handle that kind of power. You just have to be careful coming out of the hole and when the boat goes airborne. Heck, after seeing the beating Brent Smith's bravo takes behind his 700hp 565ci, I feel a lot better about running a stock bravo behind my new motor!!

With that motor, your best bet would be to buy a whole second performance motor. You can get to around 450 HP with what you have, but to go more HP than that about the only thing usable to build from is the block sadly. Just not a good base engine to build from. Its something i go to do in 2016/2017. The good thing is that its going to be registered in Holland as a stock 310hp with Mpi. Emissions bull S
Thinking about 3 things; tune up engine with charger; without charger and only engine updates; or swap the engine, and keep it stock with a new racing engine in the boat.
If racing is broke, still have the stock one to go boating.
