New steering wheel x2

Thats a good looking wheel, whats the details on how to get one?
I called Checkmate and spoke to Mike. He called it a silver/black wheel. I beleive it is stock on the new boats. I ordered it over the phone for approx 80.00 and got it in a couple days. It came w/ a new hub mounted on it for the newer style teleflex steering which is standard on all Checkmate boats 97-present. My 97 had the old steering system w/ the square type shaft, so I had to buy a couple adapter pieces which I found @ CPPerformance to make it work.

$80 WOW The ones I've been eyeing are 100s. Thats why I don't have a new one.
I might have to make a phone call!
Thanks

I will let you know, I ended up spending another 80.00 in parts to make it work w/ my existing steering system though. You may have to do the same thing if you have the "older style" steering shaft like I have. I didn't mind though, It looks awesome, and feels great in your hands too. Way better than the factory white DINO wheel that was hard to keep clean and starting to crack.

Nice looking wheel and great price as well !!!!:thumb: I want that Checkmate logo center piece for mine!:D

Not sure about that. Mike just said he had a nice looking wheel available for 80.00, and said you'll like it, its "good lookin", so I bought it sight unseen. Its nicer than I expected for 80.00

new wheel

if you have 2011 factory boat and dino wheel, will this new one fit? if not, what do u need to make fit?

Should fit no problem. Newer boats (97-present) have teleflex steering w/ a tapered "keyhole" shaft. My boat must have been one of the last boats made w/ the older square tapered shaft, according to Mike @ Checkmate. You could call him up w/ your hull id#, and he'll confirm.

Steering wheel

Checkmate can special order them in other colors. They are considered the "Deluxe" steering wheel and the cost is $200 and it takes a couple of weeks to get one. That is what Checkmate told me.
