Just bought a 82 Checkmate Enchanter, 20ft powered by a 76 Johnson 200hp.

Couldn't pass it up. $1650.00

Sound hull and runs good.

Has a few problems, rough idle and was cutting out real bad at WOT. Got the cutout fixed was getting air in the fuel lines. Will be adjusting the linkage and throttle tomorrow at the lake.

First time out was with a 14 3/4 x 19P ss ran in mid 50's
Second time out was with a 14 3/4 x 23Pss ran low 60's

SCARED the hell out of me when it chine walked.

Will let you know how tomorrow goes.

Welcome!

Weird, I have never had chine walking issues with any of my enchanters. Wonder if its a setup issue??? They also love some trim. BTW, I have owned 2 OB's and have a I/O enchanter now
