Newbie from Michigan

Brian 41

New member
I am new here but not to Checkmate. The first "new" boat I bought was a 1988 25 Convincer from Action Marine in Dearborn Heights Michigan (Sammie) Viper 1 on this site. When he closed down in 1990 I took over the shop and ran it as Action Auto & Marine Repair. Moving on shortly after that I built my own building and started Orlandi Performance. We dropped the car repair side of the business and went to boats only a few years ago. Since the downfall in boat sales 5+ years ago my business has doubled almost every year as our biggest asset is retrofitting older boats with modern power and rigging techniques. We are a full service shop doing everything from total trailer restoration to windshield/windscreen repair. Check us out at Orlandiperformance.com or our Facebook page.

Regards, Brian Orlandi

:welcome: Sounds like you will have some helpful knowledge. Looking at your site, you don't play around much. Very nice looking stuff.
Have anymore pics of the boat in your avitar?

Thanks to all.

The boat in my avatar is one that I am building for myself this winter. I have 2 of them as the first one I bought 3 years ago never got paid off by the seller and I still do not have the title. I also have a 32 Baja that I have run for 15 years that is being sold off this winter. My goal this year is my 39 OE for family fun and a 32 Skater for the poker runs.

How do you post pictures on this site?

the was I have found easiest is to upload photos to photobucket or face book. Right click the mouse select copy and come to response box here and rt click again select paste.

Thanks JW, it looks like being a supporting member is the way to go.

PS whats up with the "Wannabe" under my screen name... who or what do you have to do to get rid of that?
