Well, one step forward and 14 steps back on this project......

Got my engine parts back from the painter this weekend and installed the power head. Wired, plumbed, hooked everything up, and installed the cowl brackets, skirts and pans. Stepped back and I was kind of proud of myself until I noticed I forgot to install the shift shaft......ughhhh! Now the power head has to come completely back off.

I did get the my control boxes over hauled, rewired, and new decals on. These old Merc boxes are a bear w- all the rotten 70s wiring.... the wires just crumble.

Cheers-

Here is a great pix of Mr Combs winning the 77' Havasu Classic (V-Hull class) in a CM Enchanter w/ co driver Benny Robertson. If you are not familiar, Havasu (and Parker) was the Daytona 500 of boat racing back in the day. Bill was early 50s at that time.

Got the last 1350 rewired and ready to see if it will start....
Any idea why my pics are turning side ways when I post them on here?

Beautiful!!
Using an iPhone? Take the pix with the home button down or the volume buttons down.

Now I remember why I hate sanding and fiberglass......😁
