Steering wheels...

I get that stearing wheel here next week. I will look it over and give you a price. Since I sold the boat that I was going to put it on.

I would do this myself but since my boat is 1800 miles away...

Does anyone have a pic of the steering wheel 'hub' with the wheel removed? I am wondering what kind of adaptor (if any) is needed to mount a Grant wheel on my Starflite. Thank you.

Reed, shoot me picture of that wheel. I have a few but none are in real great shape. The one that came with the boat was cut for trim on the wheel.

Just ask for a marine hub adaptor. They are all the same 3/4" tapered shaft with keyway. Grant seams to make the hub adaptors for most companies(steering wheels) so you shouldn't have to worry aboat the "bolt pattern" on the hub. If you get an original boat wheel you do not need an adaptor because they are all made to fit the tapered shaft.

if anyone is interested I have a real nice factory steering wheel I took out of my Trimate2 I don't know what it's worth so ... let me know

Reed, How 'bout a pic of the wheel. I'm interested and I am sure others might be also. Post a pic. Let's see what it looks like. Does it have the Checkmate logo on it?

Not most checkmates because the factory used ride guide steering that uses a square tapered shaft
I bought the last momo leather wheel mike had for square shaft when we were at the factory tour last year.

So Checkmate uses a tapered square shaft? The 3/4" taperd round with keyway adapter will not fit my '87 Staflite?
