Would Like Your Opinion on New O/B Model !

GORGEOUS BOAT GUYS!! NICE JOB!
As an all O/B guy though, I would have voted for a flat transom/no splash well.
It takes a bracket and set back to make the heavy V's run anyhow???
You give up storage space and rigidity (when adding a bracket at elevtaed motor heights)when running it with a splash well.
Got any blank 25/28 demo hulls w/no holes laying out back in the weed's

Instigator,
You want to see a gorgeous boat go to "Picture This" to see 'SCT's NEW PULSARE'. The 2100 has no engine well, why the 2400

???. Kip says there will be a 2400 I/O model in the future that can be bought as a blank transom. Now there's something you can hang some HP on

Don, kewl!
There is a bare 240 (???) hull advertised down here I am qurious about also but don't really want to make a sideways step in size.
In my research and experience I think I can get between 280/300 dependable HP's from my 3.0 liter OMC O/B's if I ever get the time to do them right.
600 O/B HP's should push a 25 pretty well but would not statisfy me on a 28. I think that would require twin V-8's (which I think I can push to about 400 per) but I'm still at the fuel capacity (or lack there of)issue.
I was totally bummed to see the 28' O/B in Jersey sell. I had been talking to that owner for quite a while and even considered an even trade (hull for hull) except I was already in Fla at the time

$7300. for that thing! I'm still bummed!
Gary

I CAN SYMPATHIZE WITH YOU ON THAT ONE. $7300 WAS A STEEL FOR THAT HULL SITTING ON A TRAILER. HAD I NOT PURCHASED MY PULSARE AND MOTOR AT THE TIME I WOULD'VE JUMPED ALL OVER THAT 28' AND MADE THE DRIVE FROM FLORIDA TO PICK IT UP!!!

WOW! I like that yellow and black combo. It's something you don't see every day and I like things that are unique. Great job guys! (and gals)

Jim

I love the profile. If I were to order that design I think I would ask for shorter flames on the deck that sort'a blew off the edge of the rub rail. A 300X hanging on the back, with custom matching flame decals, would be baaaad a@@ !!!

Kip,
Love your boats and the direction you are taking. In 1997 I was torn between an Allison and the Pulsare models. As it goes I went from Hydrostream to Allison that year and now onto my second Pulsare and first new Checkamte. The one thing I liked about your boats is they offer some practicality along with looks and performance! Love the looks of your boats with the optional higher windshield and wish this was an option on the closed deck Pulares. In northern Mn there are many days the extra wind protection is needed. This in my opinion would be a great option and one wouldn't think it would be that hard to accomplish. Another note or thought would be to center mount your stereos in the dash of the closed deck models and possibly put in a glovebox or storage area in front of the passenger. Just a thought! For now I will use wind-aways for the wind. Keep up the great work! Rog

Very nice, does it come in black with red flames? I agree a 300X would sit nicely on it! Mates may not be the fastest but they stand alone as the nicest! Great all round boats! How fast do you want to go anyway, 80 is enough for me!

Kip, I just read a Boating article that had a 230 in it with purple flames over white. The author stated the flames were paint, not gel. Are the new flame jobs in the gel or are they painted?

JW... I was just there 12-16-04... They're GEL and VERY COOL!!!

See the new 2400 Pulsare being built in BLACK with YELLOW FLAMES outlined in RED...how KILLER!!!

P.S. That black one is RUMORED to be Canada bound for a set of TWIN MERC 280's on a gill bracket... Hmmmmm, sounds like a boat for ME!!!

In my opinion Jim the 24 with the flames is the best looking mate I have seen.I love black boats and the yellow and red sets it off.If I can swing it I hope to use the GTX for a season and order a NEW 24 and rig it with a 300 X,or possibly twins.(280s)Verados would be nice but they are oh so expensive!Just have to start working wifey now so she gives in by 2006.I have had one New mate before,my Spectra and I loved it,but I think the new 24 is the perfect all around size for my lake.On an average day the waves are 2 foot.It seems to be windy most of the time. The starflight did pretty good, but the Convincor should have NO problem at all, unless we head to the big lake. Then you respect the water even more,6 footers can come up in a flash!Makes a 25 foot boat seem like a cork in the water.Have fun with the Flight.

Kip, Chris:

Happy New Year to both of you; keep up the great work. I'd love to see more pictures of that black Pulsare with yellow flames, especially the interior colours. Everyone has their preferences, but for me a new 22 Pulsare with a lesser degree of deadrise for lake-running AND a sunpad would make me seriously consider making a move to another new Mate. The reality is that I could never get clearance from the "finance department" unless there was a sunpad for the wife and kids.
