So i'm very new to the site and i'm hoping i can get some help.
i have recently acquired a 1985 Checkmate enchanter in need of some serious attention. it has a indmar BBC 454 with a Berkeley 12JF jet drive. i'm currently in the process of putting a new floor in, as well as rebuilding the engine. im looking to get any info on this style of boat, i'm new to the checkmate as well as the jet boat world... top speed, impeller size, where to find decals and interior seats, etc.

Hello, New to the checkmate forum, I am hoping to pull some good info from this community. I have a 1988 Checkmate 30' Maxxum with twin 454s that I am bringing back from what seems like a period of neglect in the boats life. My big question is - What can I do to stop the boat from getting so loose at high speed, there is a lot of speed left I can pull with proper trimming. I will take any input. High speed on GPS is 62 right now.

I've been watching the 2011 Pulsare 2100 that is for sale in Florida by a Randy who has a Checkmate/liberator dealership. He goes by Wildman. The boat is white and yellow. Not my favorite colors but I love the rigging. He claims mid 90's with a 300 which seems a tad high on this hull unless they lightened it some. He sold the motor so another 300 on this hull won't be cheap. Any opinions thoughts on this boat/set up and do you know anything about him as a dealer? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Rog
