New project (Hard bow cover)

That is a great idea !!! I actually had an idea like this cross my mind for my 1850.
If it works out well would you consider making one for sale ??? I would be very interested !!!

nice job!

on a side note, is that a paint booth, looks like your gonna recess some lights on the walls. looking good!

WOW!! That's gonna be awesome!

Any chance with how creative you are your future plans may also consider race fairing for rear. Would be so cool and unique to see...kinda like a Tuff 21.

It'll be fun watching your progress.

Kevin, had an idea to run past you. If one wanted to store this bow cover in order to use the front seats what would you think of somehow using it to double as a hard bimini top? Not sure if you could use the std mounting for a soft top, but it would definitly look unique and be functionable. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

If not maybe a piano hinge on the back so it can't be seen from the outside but will allow you to fold it in half and store it inside one of the gunnels?

I wanted to do that so bad on my 2100!

Nice job.

I can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for sharing.

Had plans to make one for my 21BR, but sold it. Very interested to see the results. I see how you're "molding" it of sorts, but will it be strong enough for "bow-bathing"?

I would become a Supporting Vendor on this site and sell them if it is economically feasilbe. Unfortunately, the man hours must be extensive which would drive the cost through the roof.:)

I spoke to Checkmate about making one and they told me they have had many inquiries but management didn't have much interest in "custom" parts.

One issue is that shipping such a large piece would cost a small fortune as well.

Like the other guys, I wanted to make one when I had the Pulse 170. Can't wait to see the finished product as well!!

I believe the 2100BR is the most popular hull ever sold by Checkmate. There has to be a following of people just itching to make it a convertable! :thumb:

I know I was.
