    Those buckets are factory, as far as skins they are easy enough, I spoke with Kip last year about my 87 and was told they still have patterns for that year and the quoted price was reasonable!

    Engine Stalling Issue - Merc Laser 220 XRI

    May be a stupid question but did you hit the primer bulb after sitting? I seem to forget that and have a lot of trouble with restarts until I give her a few pumps then all is good.

    Sounds great! hard to tell but seems similar to hole shot with my 86 exciter with a yamaha 150, I don't have a jack plate so am no expert by any means but motor looks a little high to me. Are you seeing 70 to 72 mph that seller suggested?

    Beautiful, great to see another exciter on the forum. Is that one of the tall windshields, I haven't figured out why there seems to be two different windshield heights in the exciter model.

    :welcome: shes a beautiful vessel, well cared for is not something my exciter came with but it is turning out to be as much fun as I wanted and more, enjoy your labor of love and hope to get some speed numbers when the bogging is straightened out!
