1975 Vmate restoration

Took the paper and tape off on tuesday now I kinda have the idea of what it will look like with the blue on the side . I guess tomorrow morning we will primer the black on the side and some time next week paint the blue . I plan on heading to the lake late saturday night and wont be back till wed morning so it wont get painted till I come back ...

I got a really nice suprise tonight when I walked up the drive way coming in from work . I looked over at my trailer and it looked darker than when I left I walked over to it and found that my dad had painted it with hammer tone paint and it looks awesome . I cant wait to see what it looks like in the day light . He used rust-oleum Hammered. Says apply right over rust no primer needed . Looks great on a trailer thats for sure . Ill get some pictures up tomorrow before I leave for work .....

I think this is gunna look fantastic with the new wheels I had both for it . This whole package has been transformed since I bought it . Well you all know from the begining of the thread that this old girl was really a mess ...Its nice to she her all coming back together ... She will have a easier life now and wont be abused like she was years prior by other people ....

Looks great!!

I've used that Hammertone finish on a bunch of stuff over the years. I like the way it looks and FYI it comes in several different colors.

We got it colored again today and it looks really good now . Now in the next few days we will get it outside and wet sand it and polish it than she will be put back on the trailer ... I can finally get back to the top and finish it up now and put the two pieces back together .....

You done yet, you done yet, you done yet, you done yet, you done yet, you done yet!!!! Looks great and I am sure (knowing you) it will be an awesome boat when done!

I really like how this paint has turned out so far . It has 4 coats of blue on it now . Now that it has set up it feels like glass and has a very nice shine and hasnt been polished or anything . My dad has done a great job painting so far ....
