1975 Vmate restoration

rub rail

Will, what rub rail insert did you choose? I need to replace mine. The rub rail was on the boat when I bought it with no insert. It's a little banged up but I think I can make it look presentable if I can find an insert that will fit. Thanks, Mark

I replaced the whole thing with a different style rub rail . The original one was in really bad shape ...

I was playing around with the rear seat bench this morning but other than that things have pretty much came to a stand still . Still waiting on my uncle to bring the trailer tounge back and the plate for the motor . Im running out of nice weather and I am starting to realize that Ill be having a cover made for it and thats about it for the rest of the season . He is just so busy at the shop he cant get to my stuff .

"Good things come to those that wait" Somebody said that. I'm thinkin that next spring we will both have videos of newly restored Checkmates IN THE WATER !!! :thumb:

Yeah but mine should have been finished already lol . I have all the parts new in the basement just waiting to go on the boat . Just need the stuff from my uncle so I can start putting it back together .

Hey Will, This is a friendly motivational poke. :poke:

Where you at man?

Things really havent moved much still waiting on somethings from my uncle . I was gone from monday till late this morning . I had taken my Neice and both Nephews and my sister to kalahari resort in Sandusky Ohio . Second time this year . We all needed a break and I know I sure did . I needed a break from everything ... But the steering went in today before I went to work this afternoon . Mounted both racks and cables .
