That's a lot of boat for the money. Sure it needs work, but once the work is done, it will be a steal.

And besides....it came with a free battery charger!

Got the boat lights un cobbled. Now just need a new switch.
Eyecrazy.gif

I went and got aluminum diamend plate for the steps. It will look nice when done.
Next is fixing the bunk mounts.Come to find out 300 miles later all the brackets that hold the bunks to the frame brakets are broken
jpshakehead.gif

I'll weld them up tommarow and fix the safty chaines. Then its to the teak on the boat then the interior.Once the interior is out I can completely buff her out and seal her.Well thats all I have acomplished today. CHECKMATES RULE

Here is the teak how to.
1, remove it if you can. Not needed but it makes it easy.
2, Sand all the old stuff of, you need to be down to bare wood
3, Get some miniral Spirit’s and spar varnish
4, For the 1st coat you will want to mix the varnish and the miniral spirit's at a 75/25 mix, 25% varnish coat the wood. this will allow the varnish to soak into the wood. do this step twice.
5, next about a 50/50 mix and coat.
6, Light sand between each coat. This will remove any imperfection, IE drips or runs.
7, After the 50/50 is layed down and sanded with 400 grit start applying the spar varnish. Be sure to sand between coats to remove any runs or bubbles.
It takes about 3 light coats and the part will look like glass.
If you want a more toned down finish, you can stop at any point after the 2 coats of 75/25.
Good luck.
There is other stuff on the market for teak, but I have found few that work well. Most will look good for a bit but don't last.
We reconditioned all the teak on my dads sail boat. We used to above and came out real nice. There was some that we did not what the shine and stopped after the 1st few coats. Then there where some we made like glass. That was 5 years ago and it still looks good.

wELL GOT A LOT OF BUFFING DONE AND FIXED ALL THE LIGHTS, BILGE PUMP AND BLOWER. IT WAS 50 F TODAY SO I GAVE HER IT'S FIRST WATER TRIAL. SHE RUNS PERFECT.ONLY HAD ONE PROBLEM.I COULDNT TURN LEFT.I COULDNT CHECK IT ON THE TRAILER AS THE DRIVE TOUCHES THE GROUND WHEN IN THE DOWN POSITION.TURN OUT THE OUTDRIVE HAD SOME LOOSE MOUNTING BOLTS THAT ALLOWED THE STEERING GEAR TO SKIP.WELL I RECENTERED THE STEERING AND BOLTED UP THE DRIVE CORRECTLY AND TOURQED THE DRIVE BOLTS DOWN.THEN ME AND MY BUDDY TOOK IT BACK OUT.EVERYTHINGS ALRIGHT NOW.I TOOK IT EASY ON HER AS IT HASNT BEEN RUN IN A FEW YEARS.TOOK IT UP TO 40 MPH AT ABOUT 3500 RMP.MADE SHURE ALL THE GAGES LOOKED GOOD AND THEN LOADED HER UP.ON TO THE INTERIOR AND THE TEAK.WELL THATS ALL FOR NOW.OH YEA THOSE CRACKS IN THE BLOCK DONT LEAK WATER AT ALL AND WE WERE OUT 20 MIN OR SO.

Looks Great !!, glad to see and hear things are working out. As you suggested, the weather is amazing, we should be playing "Pond Hockey" by now on the lakes and ponds up here in the North East.
