checkmate 303 convincor pros and cons?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 1997 303 convincor with twin 502 mag mpi's. any pros and cons to this hull and setup? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
 
if its the one at pier57, that's a whole lotta hours on them motors....just sayin'
 
yep that's the one. finished deal up today. got it for a good price. hopefully picking up next week. just need the bank to do the wire transfer. prob gonna have them gone through in the off season and maybe do a little tweaking on them. can get the work done extremely cheap. prob less than 3k a piece. :bigthumb:
 
That is a great looking boat congrats! Amazing how paint/interior transforms a boat. Build those motors up this winter and let her rip!

Congrats on your new purchase. Where do you boat in Columbus?
 
I had called Greg last week about it. Beautiful boat! The 303/320 hull is a great performer. Was later modified to become the ZT330 hull.
 
thanks all. can't wait to pick it up. Linn usually up @ alum creek. I think you came up a few times last year and tied up with us in the swim cove. I had the 220 convincor then. Yellow and purple stripe on side. I think it was when you first got yours. Usually tie up with Teddy, Cory, joey and nick up there.

the hours are on the upper end...but it really depends on how they were used and maintained....ive seen em go well over 1500 hours...so don't jump the gun...but do check them out...comp and leak down....oil pressure...etc...
 
picked up the 303 last thursday and finally got it out today. Boat is exceptionally clean inside and out. Engines all check out. Runs perfect. Has a set of labbed 26p 4 blades on it. Ran @ 72 today on gps and that's all she's got with these props. probably gonna try a set of 28p Bravo 1's. Any thoughts on speed gains? Rpm's were turning right @ 5000.
 
I would like fresh action pictures like Jetmate said!! plus that it will not be long until the link is dead because they sold the boat!
