CHECKMATE OWNERS RALLY 2015

We will be there very early Friday morning. I will be providing the courtesy wake up call for those at Grider. I will be tripping out on caffeine and ready to get the day started.

Hi all, any body know of any one from South Fla or Central Fla that may be going? im trying to get my boss to give me his flight Schedule for that week, or..... i think the airplane is going to be in maintenance  ;) acording to Google its only about a 13 hr drive, i hope i can make it my wife is looking into rooms at Grider.

Yes. My sister and brother in law are in Jacksonville. They are heading out sometime Wednesday morning. It's 8 hours from jax to Chattanooga tn. Then 3.5 hrs. to grider

I am looking into possibly getting a room in the lodge at Grider. At this point it is just me so I will have an extra bed if anyone wants to pitch in for a bed and a shower! I will know more early next week when my boss gets back from vacation on if it will be for Thursday night thru Monday morning or Friday night thru Monday morning.

Trying to get a few little upgrades done before. Should be there Thursday mid day, maybe try and get there Wednesday night if stars align. Hudy might make a guest appearance if he behaves:thumb:
Big thanks to Dave for handling the internet part this year. Jeff for handling the houseboat and communications with Checkmate. And Maureen for the food planing:cheers:

Thanks Brian for the kind words and thanks to Dave for taking care of the FB and Forum communications. Great Job Guys:thumb:
And of course we cant leave out a big Thanks for our master party planner/caterer/world traveler Maureen, with the beautiful 388 hustler (sporting new whipple power btw) for all the assistance with the sustenance we have planned for all of our hungry rally goers.

We also would like to update all of our guests on the planned events for friday & saturday so everyone knows which direction to point their compass.

Friday evening around 6-ish we will be having a meet & greet on the Checkmate houseboat at 76 falls - hors d'oeuvres and appetizers plus there may be some special libations Maureen & Dianne have planned to partake in as well ;)

Saturday morning at 10:30am we are planning a run to Wolf Creek Marina for lunch at Fish Tales Restaurant with all interested to meet in the No Wake zone. After lunch run to the little falls in Otter Creek for a raft up.
A tasty BBQ brisket & pulled pork Dinner is planned back at the houseboat in 76 falls at 7pm all are welcomed to attend !!!

Both friday & saturday nights (weather permitting) everyone is welcomed to raft up with the houseboat in 76 falls overnight and use those dusty cabin cushons for a night under the stars on Lake Cumberland :bigthumb:

As a favor, those that plan on attending Friday's meet and greet & Saturday's dinner please RSVP on the Owners Rally FB page or PM Dave if you haven't already done so. Thank You this will be a great help !!!

We are just over 2 weeks out from this years rally and I'm sure all of your mates will be in tip top shape ready to increase your carbon footprint just a little more !!!:thumb: If there are any questions please contact myself, Dave or Brian. We are looking forward to seeing all of you very soon !!! :surf::bounce:

Hey folks, i don't do the fb thing so just to let you know Stacy and I will be there sometime mid afternoon Thursday. Will be in for Friday meet and greet as well as Saturday dinner. Counting the days, totally pumped, the boat has set for last 3 years, sold our business now time to get our life back.

If anyone still needs lodging and would like to spend the weekend at 76 Falls on the houseboat there is space available at a low rate for a bedroom. Let Jeff "jjg", Brian "yellowfiero88" or myself know if you are interested.

Went pretty well other than the traffic getting around Chicago. 18 hrs in 1 day overall. Picked up a sweet low hr 2000 242 Convincor with a 500 efi. We have the following week already off with a trip set to go up to a northern lake. Working out the babysitting plans to try to get down there before we leave.
