First a 2400 with 300 is sweet but, have they gone to stickers on the boats now a days?:shakehead:

These pics are from Checkmate showing before and after.

the only good part about stickers are if you want to change the look of the boat you can just remove the stickers and put down new ones.

I can't see the pics. That site must be blocked for me.

I have a new 2400. "Checkmate' name and horsehead are the only stickers.

Edit: I forwarded them to my phone. So, they are a before/after of what? A build? Stickers on a white hull has to save some money for the buyer. One reason I bought a Check is gel work.

Gel work.
Big Outboard power on a bow rider
Killer looks
Huge bow and floor space

But for a lot of boaters, gel work means nothing (sadly).

Mornin Dave, rumour out here in Great Northwest indicates the right shade of pink will tend to increase top end velocity of vessel, much like addition of chrome in correct areas will have a benificial impact on horsepower. Exhaustive tests in this area, inbetween torential downpours, seems to be adding credence to the rumour....

Does it matter? Are you going to buy a 2013 boat or just trying to stir the pot?

Gel graphics on the boats with sticker "checkmate". Not sure the history on this one but I'd say it's one of the first with the 2013 graphics. Maybe after it was done, they thought it needed something up front for more color. Everything new is trial and error til one has been built. I had my hands on this 2400 and if it was stickers for the front stripes, it did not stick out to me.

I think the picture before the bow graffics looks a lot better than the after shot. I'm a minumalist when it comes to graffics, but the rear griffics are just enough to set it apart from anything else.

Not Tape...

Just to set record straight here.....these graphic's are in gel. Just the Checkmate name is decal. Not sure what got lost in translation on pic to facebook but graphic's towards front of boat are just covered up with white tape in first pic to see what it would look like without them....a lot of taping off to do when doing both.

Thanks kip,
Couldn't tell they were covered then uncovered,

I thought i was asking a on topic legit question about a new Checkmate boat.
Sorry,
We can go back to the homo, animal screwing chat now.

Way to rattle the cage Kip, nice job.

BTW, I like it better with just the graphics on the back, and not the ones on the front.

Tell Dean, that it makes the boat look longer that way. :poke:

I like either of the graphics but I think just the rearward graphic would look best if the forward narrow tail was a bit longer than the front upper graphic would not be needed. With that said, I like the direction that graphics scheme is headed and the way CHECKMATE is displayed in it.....Sweet!

I really like the boat and graphics either way (with or without front section).

Like Merc245, I thought I saw some discoloration towards the windshield.

On another note, if Checkmate can increase sales by selling solid white boats and the owner wraps it (or the factory for that matter) who are we to judge? I would prefer to see them stick with their "all gel graphics" heritage, but in this market can we really get pissed? It really is a tough call. Would thier reputation be salvaged in the process?
