CHECKMATE WEEKEND 2014

By the way, I was wrong, it's the northern part of Assateague Island that is by Ocean City. You can usually see the wild horses running around.

I will most likely be kid free if i can make it this year. Brother might have his with but we can always find a sitter if need be!

Atc they say that is a great trip to make by boat when the horses are on the shoreline. Never been there but really want to do it. Hoping we will do an event there some time.

Knarloid are you bringing the whole family next year. Think kids might go to grandmas house for the weekend next year depending where we have it. what's everybody else doing with kids

Not sure, may have to bring them (not that they're too much of a burden or anything).
We don't have the benefit of family locally to leave them with. :shakehead:

Would you're grandma mind? :)

Depending on where and what it is, we may try and stay for more than the weekend. No plans to get to Europe for summer vacation now in 2014, so may get in one or two roadtrips during the summer. Senator Hollands Cumberland video has me thinking....:sssh:

I had a few more miles of driving than Merc but i think given that i have a brother that lived only about 45 miles from the party i think he still wins!!

I'm def taking a few more days off to enjoy the trip a bit more this year. I was too worried about being hungover for my 6.5 hr trip home.

What about piggybacking on Sacandaga with the Scream and Fly boys for The Adirondack Romp? Great campground with a ton of parking, you can tie your boat up at many of the sites, ramp on the campground, and a lot of awesome boats to check out.

I know its not near the Chesapeake but what about raystown lake.
We are always in for Raystown lake!! We are there every chance we get. We only live about 30 min. away. Longest stretch last summer was about 10 days between trips there.
