Checkmate workmanship problem

Nice boat! Unusual colors compared to what you usually see today! Anyway, not sure what to say about the cracks around the radio. Neither of my 2000BR's cracked there nor on the non skid. One question about the non skid cracks: do you think those are from your ski pylon and pylon supports? Mine never cracked there either, but if you were tubing hard core, you might flex the hull enough with a pylon to tweak it....just wondering out loud.

Do you go over the glass there? Seems all the cracks are where someone would climb in and out. No matter they shouldn't be there but I have to ask are you a really big guy:D Joke.

Na he's about 5' 1'' and about 310 pds. :D

ski pole

The ski pole makes sense. Just wondering if above the radio is maybe from stepping there to get on the deck.

Maybe you are wright but 3 weeks after I bought the boat the cracks where there at the back and maybe I never saw them I was so excited when I got the boat that I never saw it until I got to wax the boat and that was 3 weeks after I bought it and I did not do any tubbing or waterski yet I was just trying to get to know the boat and how to drive through the chine walk

No Samy!! I realised the cracks where there only 3 weeks after I got the boat and I was not tubing before that but at that time they where small and I tried to get attention from my dealer but he went bankrupt 1 week after I purchase the boat Lucky !!hay and buy the time I had them fix at the factory they got worst and maybe cause by tubing at that point?

Stepping on the deck

No Keith, I am wery perticular with my toys and nobody goes on the deck not even a nude women:drool: I have a boat lift and it is easy to get in and ou but anyway I had a checkmate preditor 17ft with a 115 Merc before and never experience cracks and also had 3 J-Craft 19 ft. and we where barefooting and tubing hard at the time and put those J-Craft to the test and never any cracks so what is with Checkmate???

dont necessarily think its a whats up with checkmate, but an issue on a few boats, nobody gets it perfect everytime, and as you said, checkmate has made plenty of boats without the issue, maybe you just got the boat when the gelcoat guy as hungover. Not that it makes it right.

also, love the colors on that boat :bigthumb:
