Delaware River 9/22

Sounds like a plan but what are we gonna do about the hole?

I guess we could use Hudy to plug the hole. We can stick his backhalf in and have him kick to get us moving. We will feed him plenty of beans before launching it should be similar to a jet drive then.

Sim - thanks for the offer of the overnighter. I'll mention it to my events committee.

If I can get out on my own all the better for this meet (they might hear that it could be cold on the river).
I don't mind being the towboat for skiers (certainly worked out great last time).

John - I'll probably be leaving my place by 8am to head to the ramp if I don't stay at Sims the night before.

I was going to ask for some. I'll see if I can find anything local here that is a regular beer and not some off the wall microbrew stuff. I'm afraid I'll get hooked on the Hudy and have to start having my cousins out there send me care packages.

Just realized that "boat house row" is in the opening credits of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Looks like a pretty good journey from Trenton to there. Might be best to leave Emily at home.

It is about 40 miles one way from Trenton to Boat House Row. We don't have to go up the Schuylkill if everyone doesn't want to. There is plenty of other water to cruise!

Video I found on youtube of running the Schuylkill

ASSuming I bring my boat, as long as you have a place for me to refuel i'm fine.

I'm gonna be refueling too. Best place is probably the marina right by Penns Landing.

Could always refuel where I launch from. Not sure what kind of range you guys have, but that should put you right around the 60-65 mile mark (from trenton to boat house row and back) I think I should be fine... I can run from my ramp to philly back up to trenton and back to the ramp on about 18-20 gallons. I have a 32 gallon tank.

JLN- is there fuel where you launch from?

I called the Philadelphia Marine Center. I self-fuel there all the time using a credit card and they told me they are open year-round.
It's just about the half way mark (although if it's crappy weather that day I'm considering towing and putting in further south (closer to Philly) than Trenton).
How's that for use of double parenthesis? Is that legal?
Btw- My 225 Merc and 24 gallon tank can just make it to Philly and back on fumes. I think. Because I've never allowed it to get to the point where I'm relying on fumes.

On my 30 gallons I've done 60 miles up the Hudson with plenty to spare. Others I've done 60 round trip and been on fumes.

3.75 to 3.85 for regular in NJ. No idea what it is on the water, only bought it on the water twice in the past 15 years or so.

Been creeping up steadily here. It was $3.69 a week or so ago. All the maniacs going crazy in the middle east is probably gonna be the excuse for it to hit $5 or $6 soon. Makes me miss my old 18ft bowrider. That small block Chevy was economical compared to this outboard.

Just keep practicing your Saudi Arabian BendOvers.
