Delaware River 9/22

I officially am going to try like heck to be there. I've been house hunting for a month now and in stead of being exciting it's frustrating spending a half mil on pieces of crap.:pissed:

I have my boat at a marina a couple of hours from me and I just put a new (used) untried motor on it to see if I can get a few more MPH. Its suppose to be water tested tomorrow (raining today). If the water test goes well, hopefully I can bring it up there and not have any problems.

Does anyone have a couple empty seats for my misses and I if my new motor isn't up to par?

I will have plenty of room for whoever.

Spence, I have a 24 Trophy coming this week (hopefully by Thursday). It has no PVS plugs, can I give yours a whirl? I'm going to guess I need 4 since its a 4 blade. Don't know if you've got that many. I may not need any at all but probably won't get to water test it before the meet.

I will bring all of the plugs I have. I have a total of six, but they are two different sets. I will check on them tonight to see if they are all the same size.

I'm trying to stay on a budget so I'm bringing a cooler with a couple of drinks and some sammiches. Plus I got long ride home, going into the bar with Dave and Brian probably won't end with me being able to drive home.

I should be at the mouth of rancocas at 9:30 or so. Is that where we are going to meet up at. Have another friend that is bringing his boat also and want to make sure that is a good time ane place to meet up at

I will meet you there at 9:30 and we could cruise up to Burlington Island to meet everyone else, or I could just meet you at burlington island. Either way, it works for me.

Pete Smith (driver/wheel man of the CR-611 Joker boat that took thrid place this past weekend at Solomans) is going to meet up with us at some point as well. He has a 23' (I think) Kryptonite as well.

Do you think there's going to be a lot of debris floating in the river from all this rain?

I'm a little bit worried about the wind. There hasn"t been much in the way of debris recently- The early season heavy rains washed most of it out. There will likely be some downed trees and branches from the wind, which could cause some debris, but hopefully it washes out prior to Saturday. Most of it is easy to avoid since it works into lines with the tide/wind. I think we should be ok though:cheers:

Cool. The two times I was on the Hudson it was U G L Y with debris. Cruising along fine, then bam, a tree floating by. A few minutes later running good then bam, an enormous debris field surrounds you.

John

I find Delaware debris to be a lot more manageable than Hudson.
Burlington island at 10:30 sounds real do-able. A friend of mine and his dad are going to be joining us in their jetboat. Their is a good chance if it's ok with atc and knarloid that we'll launch in Burlington instead of Trenton to cut 15 miles off the front and back end of the trip.
My friend has never been on the delaware around philly and he's psyched. I don't think atc has either.
