Enforcer Paint Resto

Looks great Robbie. Was afraid it might look too tall with the black under it. I think the different sheen helps the look.

Looks good Robbie... but it has a slightly different sheen from the hull. Will this require repainting in the near future so it all matches? Kinda like the slightly different shades of red?:poke::thumb:

Funny you should mention that!!! Brian and I was talking about spraying the frames the same color black. But that was after I had painted them already!!!:D Headed outside to start the water sanding!!!!!!!

I like it the way it is. If anything I would do the frame a satin black to break it up from the deck but it looks damn good just like that. I think I'm gonna tint the windows on my Liner this spring. I'd do the frames black too but I don't think it would work so well with the silver cleats and bow rails.

The boat is ready for rigging finally!!!! I got the boat watersanded, buffed, waxed and wash today and my arms hurt!!!! First sanded with 1200 grit, then 1500 grit followed by 3M HD rubbing compound, 3M rubbing compound, Mirrore glaze no. 7 and then waxed by hand using Collinite no. 925. Here's a couple of pictures after washing the boat.

Robbie,
Is it my imagination or does the black stripe make the boat appear shorter
in the third pic?

Great job, by the way! :thumb:

I promise the boat is not short, my arms can attest to that!!!!:eyecrazy: But yeah you're right is does look shorter, might be the way I took the picture. The picture down the side makes the boat appear longer though. Btw did you make or buy those steps that go on the gunnell? I'm sure there's another name for them.

Damn dude she's really lookin good! What amazes me the most is the fact that this was all accomplished in the back yard. You guys have done some nice work

I made those step pads. They are Starboard with the stipled surface to act
as a non skid.

I am sure your arms must feel like lead weights after all that sanding and buffing. The effort you put into your Mate was well worth it. It is a show piece!

Dude, she looks great. I've checked out the picks about half a dozen times now, and I think it's stellar. Also, I really like the stance of the boat on the trailer. It's nice and level. Too much nose up on the trailer stance really detracts from the aesthetics of any boat when out of the water. IMHO.

Nice work!

Sippy it's not flawless, but for the backyard it's not bad. When the top was being painted the wind starting blowing then gusting to 35 mph.:eyecrazy: That's the reason for sanding and buffing from the gunnells up. The only way to get a "Wildman" paint job is in a paint booth. What amazed me was watching Brian adjust for the conditions as he was painting. I'm happy how it turned out. :thumb:

Thanks Sam!!! I've got another trailer that I'm working on, ordered a new axle which is my other project. As many of you notice, i like to work on stuff!!! I sit behind a computer 10 hrs a day, so working on stuff is a stress reliever for me.
