On the assumption they both are equal in terms of setup and condition (both look great), I'd go for less dark color on the topside.

The 1987 has an alpha drive....If you are going to drive it like I drive my boats I would spend the extra few bucks and buy one with a bravo to stand up to the big block....just my opinion but one launch off of a big wave and the prop on an alpha spinning too fast upon hitting the water again is not a good thing. That or keep an extra alpha lower hanging around, they can be picked up cheaply.
