Owner claimed this boat was a 9 out 0f 10, drove from Michigan to South Carolina, its crap. Looks good from a far, but some half ass repairs on the hull, the floor is rotten, and its filthy. Drivers seat is loose and floor is shot, when I asked him about it he clamed up and tried to deny knowledge. Could be a decent boat, but very misrepresented. Sad part is I asked for my deposit back since he was not honest about the condition and he cant afford $200.00. All was not lost, the wife and I went to Myrtle Beach for a few days and headed home.

That boat was recently on Checkmate owners page on FB. Was sold from up near DC I think. Looked good in pics n description. But obviously was not....

What do you guys think of the 96 253 w- blown 509'? Seems like a clean hot rod at a good price. With 800 hp, I'm guessing (or hoping) the drive is not stock.

This is only 45 minute trip for me if you want someone to look at it for you. I will be out of the country until 1-Oct but if still available I would be willing to look for you. 8 lbs of boost is a lot of boost. The stock Bravo 1 drive will survive if you don't hammer on it out of the hole or jump the boat. Let me know. :banana:

Now that I see more pics of this one that used to be in NJ last year, I think it needs the same as mine did in restoration.
If you're willing to take it on, could look tidy again within a few months of elbow grease.
Would love to see and hear it run with that V8!
Then replace it with a 400R!!!!
