I think it is a 251 Convincor. I don't think Enforcer's had a crash pad/grab bar on the pax side. I also agree w- the TRS. What's the funky transom plate think in front of the drive? While the entrance fee might be cheap, this project will get you on the back end!
 
Some early convincors had a TRS setup too. I think the 454/alphas came later in the 80's because the alpha was a couple mph faster....but just couldn't hold the power.This is a good deal for 3k still. looks like a good project or parts boat. An old speedmaster leg would bolt right in place of that TRS (most used same gimbal until ssm4&5 I believe) and the TRS is pretty stout too.

Yea, that crash pad says Convincor. Looks tall to be an enforcer too. Looks to me that isn't a funky transom plate but a water pickup. This thing looks like it is setup almost like an old race boat with no cabin (visible) or bulkhead. Wanna Class 6 OPA race anybody? I would love to see more pics of it or hear of someone going for a look-see.
 
You got me on that one. The way the top deck hangs over the transom looked odd to me . I always thought the 251 Convincors transom was much more flat or staight than this boat. Thanks for the lessons Coop.

I was going by the style line down the side of the hull. The transoms and decks did change with various years, but when they changed those sides, it became a different boat.

That style line is key on a lot of them. Some style lines follow a theme. Like the style line on the Pulse series, one hump for the 170, two for the 185, and three for the 210.
Early Predictors have two, then later in the eightys sometime they only had one, then when the boat became the 1600 the sides were smooth.

As time passes, some of this is harder to remember.

Yeah I've seen it several times too but it really hasn't sparked much conversation. That prop is a ways back there. Seems to me it would get pretty loose trimmed up/out at WOT
 
The part I don't understand is the 2000 300 ProMax w- 325 hp? Unless it's been modded, the 300PMs made south of 300 hp. And a 2000 is not an X engine.
