I really like that 253. A unique old school look with a wind screen. Sweet blue gel .

Yeah, I really like that 253 as well. Ron, how is it riding with the windscreen? I know I had to build some deflectors for mine with the windshield and I hear the solid screen is even worse about the wind. Just curious.

I think that boat has your name all over it!! Add that 565 you were talking about to it, and you'd have a really nice and fast boat cheaper than you could buy one with normal power!!

I agree it does have his name all over it! For the price you could find a nice drop in motah at 600 hp and have all the fun you want. Being that is a 94, I don't believe it would have the notch transom so it is a mph or two slower than the later 253's.

Windscreen doesn't "screen" much wind at all, especially with me being 6'2", but of course neither does the windshield in my buddy's 259 but it is better. The wind rolls off of mine and hits me square in the face whether I am sitting or standing (personally I think bolster bottoms are a little on the high side. I would call it more of a fairing. looks badazz though! I have all the stuff from these guys on my shelf to build a set of these:

but I am doing it in a way so that when I fold them down, it will not interfere with my current cockpit cover. I have yet to get in there and mock anything up yet. Too effing cold!

I just saw the pink on it and now my wife is suddenly interested. I have an offer on a 283 on the table and waiting for weather conditions to improve as this boat is shrink wrapped outdoors and impossible to complete my inspection. We are headed to Dallas (lake Lewisville) in a few weeks and decided to drive so we can do some shopping... If I see something in Indy along the way anything can happen. The Dart 565 is even getting cheaper as my buddy bought a new rig with a pair of 700s. 8k sitting on the crate. hmmm :sssh:

That salty Persuader with the V6 and soggy floor, wants $11,000? Dang. And 60-63? Best mine did was 57 with a 3-blade 23" wheel. And mine was the 4 barrel motor, not the two barrel. Interesting. I didn't know the Hudson river water was that slick...
