Even More CL Finds!

Helmich that is a nice one and is a much larger boat. The 280zt is big difference from 253/259. The price per foot difference there is lack of a trailer on the zt. That one is for you Helmich! Ship it over and get your EU trailer for it! No trailer worries there!

I was considering it. Thats true. But i Have to do some truck buying overhere first because of emission rules. So no budget for this year. And the towing Rv is coming first says my wife... Lol

Like the zt, i have to go for a single engine CM. Trailer is nice but when its overhere its a no go on public road. Just a storage trailer.
Mmmm choices... Still going to end in the low 30k euro incl trailer, transport taxes and insurance

You pay for the gas, and I'll launvh her into New York Harbor and we can meet in Ireland in a day or two for a pint!!! Tha'll save ya some delivery fees!!

Its just a little over 3000 miles! So with that said we would only need to take 6000 gallons of fuel with us! Im sure we can come up with 1200 5 gallon cans easy enough! the issue would be getting her on plain with that much fuel on board! :sssh:

Sounds like a Checkmate "road-trip" to see Helmlich! You're going need a couple cases of beer......

It's got to be better than that on fuel. My buddy's 30ft Sutphen with 3 300x's gets 1/2 mpg running hard. I bet we could manage with only 3000 gallons. Shoot, we can leave from Cape Cod, fuel up in Nova Scotia, then across to Achill Island in Ireland for fuel again before heading to Mallaranny, Ireland where we can crash my wife's relatives houses and Hemlich can meet us with an empty trailer.

Simple. :D

I am looking for my first Checkmate boat. I am located in Northern Indiana and looking to spend $3,000 or less if anyone knows of anything. I feel like I've scoured Craigslist front to back, found a few, but hard to commit!

Lets do it!! And im always on the conservative side on fuel estimates in boats. I could get 3-4mpg out of the Enforcer but in rough water on the bay I managed to only get about 2 on one trip. Cutting it in half cut my range by almost 100 miles!!

I talked to him last year on that 281 im pretty sure. Price has come down quite a bit.. Thinking i will have my brother go take a look at it for me! I might need to sell a boat though... Anyone want an Enforcer?!

Stick a bracket on it and put a pair of 250's or 300x's on the proper side of the transom. 2 small blocks are not enough for that thing and putting a set of Bravos on and building a couple of motors will cost more.

John

If i can get it it will never be my fast boat im sure. I will always have a smaller boat for the local lakes n such to make fast! We would just like something we can stay on overnight comfortably...

They are B1's. im not sold that the boat has not been sunk yet. I talked back and forth with him quite a bit last year. YF is running big blocks in his 283 i believe tho. But at 4k obo i am interested!! not going to say go until someone i trust puts personal eyes on it tho!!

That boat would be a perfect candidate for LS swaps! Just sayin! Very stout small blocks would push that thing very well. Couple of 6.0 junkyard LS motors with some boost would make that thing absolutely fly. 500 hp 6.0 LS motors are not out of the question N/A either in fact thats easily obtainable using the stock heads.
