I think I did pretty well on mine, well worth the 600 mile round trip to go look at it on Wednesday, matter of fact heading out the door for another 600 mile trip to pick it up! After 21 years in the Starflite, can you say " WELL DESERVED" :surf::surf:

That sportfire is a little nice boat, My first was 89 blue metal flake sportfire. And yes it will un 60 mph as soon as you replace the tower of power with a V6 135 hp. That combo makes for a nice little outfit.

Flip a coin, the Johnnyrude would be less likely to snag a tow rope. The Merc might sell better later.

The liners and the rubber floor boats started shortly after Doug Smith took over. Don't have the years memorized unfortunately. Made the Pulsare all three ways: carpeted wood, optional rubber lined wood with snap in carpet option, and the fiberglass liner boats with snap in carpet. The BRX boats were all fiberglass lined.
All the wood floors are supposed to be fully encapsulated, but we know what happens with time and rain and water sports. That's why I'm looking only for a fiberglass no-wood liner boat.
I've had three fully linered (is that a word?) boats so far, and the liner boats are SO much more worry-free, I can't go back to a fiberglass encapsulated carpeted wood floor boat again.
 
 
Thanks Sct. I told you that you would find my next Checkmate. I am headed to NJ to pick it up Friday . He put it on a nice aluminum I beam trailer for me to seal the deal . I bought a low hrs 600sc to wake it up . I believe the poor ad was the reason I was able to end up with it. I will get good pics on here and start a thread when it gets home this weekend . :thumb:
