Oh let's see where I can start!!:devil: I have the 2001 Evinrude 250 hp DFI or Ficht engine. The computer went out with 34 original hours at 56 original hours the injectors need to be replaced at the low price of $2600.:eek: Right now the motor is at the dealer until I decide what to do. Just think 56 original hours and having trouble.:shakehead:
 
Yep. I'm an OMC guy but when looking for a 250hp motor in my price range (15 years old) I bought a Merc and never gave a FICHT a thought. :(

OMC went from carbed engines to fuel injection (Ficht) but was a unreliable system. Then they switched to DFI system (direct fuel injection) which is what E-TEC engines have. The newer engines are much better now than those from 1999-2001.

Been seeing that Enchanter in NJ for a while. Priced right and looks clean. Wonder what is stopping it from selling.

The Entertainer! I'm glad it's far or I'd be working on a way to make it mine and swap motors with then sell my Liner.

Why would you prefer the Entertainer over the Liner?
