* I have even tried re mounting the motor on the jack plate to get more range of travel have put it up to 2.5 in below keel to all the way down not much change *

1986 21' enchanter I/O. Hit 75mph GPS with no motor, outdrive, gas tank, or interior on the way to winter storage:lol: All joking aside I will have a update this spring sometime with the new 355 SBC. With the old 260hp I hit 60 before I shut her down because the block was spewing water so bad from the freeze damage cracks. Still had some in her without a doubt but didnt want to blow her up in the middle of the river.

88 ambassador 454 330hp bravo1 23p x 14 5/8 mirage prop. just me in the boat no bow cover on it ran 63 on gps trimmed up i think it should be a little faster???

~Replaced tac with a factory one~, Tested boat on a Ruff water day --White Caps--.. I ran away from the wind , 5000rpm-- 63mph on GPS 1/2 throttle left / Chine walk has been eliminated.. on a glass smooth day I will see 75 +mph~ 28pitch Britts cut =Drag prop- chopper style -- 240-250hp 2.4 Merc Black Max ;) I can't wait till I get glass on the lake to run her full out :)

Pulsare 2100/Merc 225

Pulsare 2100 Long Deck/stock 3 liter Mercury 225Xri, 13.5" setback, Trophy Plus 26, Full tank & two adults...77.0 MPH on Garmin GPS. More to come!!

93 persuader 219, 454 bored .30 over (461) eagle 4340 crank, SRP 9-1 pistons, comp roller came, hyd roller lifters, roller rockers, pro comp rectangular port aluminum heads, weiand 177 blower w/ 5.6 lbs boost, dominator 1050 carb, stock mercury/malory optical distributor.
Dyno'd at 611 hp at 5500 rpm w/ timing advance set at 32 btdc
601 hp at 5500 rpm w/ timing total advance set at 30 btdc
and 640 ft lb torque at 3800 rpm. I run it at 30 btdc since the exhaust valves start to run a little hot with any more advance and I want it to last. Outdrive is Bravo one with IMCO improvements and drive shower, 26p labbed bravo one prop, dual trim tabs, IMCO advantage power steering, oil and power steering cooler.
First fast run after rebuild I passed 80 gps, not sure how much past due to the need to watch where I was going (my gps does not record max speed, it only registers real time)

:thumb: What rpms are you turning at 80

Pulsare 2400/225 opti Pro XS, 23 tempest, 10 inch CMC

Hit 65.3 once in chop down wind, otherwise 64.3 with full fuel, cooler.

5700 rpm

Very stable and lots of fun, slight side to side rock if over trimmed in calm water.

Need to re-rig and save for a 300 XS to move into the 70s.

Hi ALL!! i have a question i had a 3 cyl 70 horse on boat now have a 6 cyl 115 are the tachs the same?????? 6cyl is running on the 70hrs tack and running 5000 WOT need help both motors are merc's

no the tachs wont read the same ther should be a selector switch for the amount of clls you have or a certain num. of wires to you signal wire to be connectrd

The plugs looked the same so there should be switch like on after market car tach. 4cy 6cy and 8cy (car) 3cy 6cy andetc for a boat? and thanks for teh answer i will check in am thought when boat was running didnt feel right to only be running 5g's? but most teh tach are the same why though right and if i have the wires instead of a switch how do i go about changing them?

I've been dialing in my current setup. Best so far is 89.1 gps. I hope to see 90 by the weekend. If I do there will be video !

up date mine to 62mph fully loaded with warm weather. i think the prop finnally helped after all the back and forth. hope the cool weather in the fall gains a tad more. we'll see

hi red - had it out today with a passenger - hit 82.4 gps @ 5100 rpm - 3/4 tank of fuel and the two of us (190 lbs + 205 lbs) god I love this boat

Holly Molly are you running a 1.5 drive gear because with a 26p prop at 5100. rpms at 82.4 comes up to.015 prop slip and thats awesome hooking :thumb:

1.5 gears with 26p prop at 5100 with 10% slip would be 75 mph man your boat hooks good you cant get no Convincor to hook that good.

I'm not sure what gearing I've got, all I know is I pissed off my passenger to the point he wants to sell his jet boat and get a prop drive. His jet boat has more HP than mine (706hp vs 601hp) but I'm faster. believe it or not I'm even faster out of the hole than he is. And yes, he knows how to drive it very well. I,m glad to see your impressed, thank you

1989 senator. all stock. 350 /270hp alpha 1. 59mph on a gps. over 60 on the speedo(damb that doesnt count does it? LOL)
