This is one of my favorite threads, cant wait to see some more pics.

It may be a lil while but as soon as I get back to work on the thing I will update some pics :thumb: The next pics should be the engine on the stand, the hull flipped over to fix the bottom then the boat resting on the new trailer.

Well that just ruined my lunch...

I am sure that whatever is going on in your life is more important then a boat. I hope all is well and good luck!

For the Record

This is the reason I'm punking out on the Carlson project. Don't think I can stand another summer boatless. I'm really missing being on the water and along comes this nice lil 1978 Sterling for sale less motor. Am I taking the easy way out? Hell Yes, but I couldn't pass on it and can't wait to put my brand new Big Block in it and ride

WOW!!

I would "punk out" for that boat in a heartbeat!!!!
Nice find "wicked"!
Or should I say wicked nice find!!
The scheme is my kinda retro and looks to be a well preserved original right down to the
Trailer.

78 sterling - Rogers Clone

Thanks Kary!
Has a few dings but it's in good shape for a 31 year old boat. The Color is a lil out there but what the heck, install a chrone chain steering wheel and call it a day

One cool thing about this boat is there were only a hand full ever made under the Srerling badge and they were made just 45 miles away in Martinsville Va.
