LAKE CUMBERLAND OWNERS RALLY 2013

DT is making the same road miles as me a week later from holland to Italy.

i prefer the long flight. i hate long tows; longer than 18 hours is not funny to do. maybe it's because i have to cross the borders and the swiss mountains. that is adding time to the miles to make on that trip. maybe i'm driving to much to like it.
the highway in germany is also a hell if youre towing your boat. there is no max speed so the big cars are going a 120 miles an hour a 2 or 1 lane left of you. (gas to the max is their credo)
my brother works in Berlin for Daimler. he is alway going full on the german highway. including kids. i always say to him it will kill him and everything in the car if luck is running out.

Only about 16 more weeks until I finally get to see Lake Cumberland in person. I have been wanting to do a houseboat vacation there as long as I can remember. I know how summer fly's by so with that said its just around the corner eh. :thumb:

I've got my route picked out and and now I have an efficiency cottage booked for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It can't rain for four days straight can it?

Looks like we may be neighbors. I have my eff cottage fri & sat nights. I plan on bringing my grill, lots of beer a blender and other spirits for those tropical type cocktails. Looking forward to meeting you !!!

I'll be right up the hill at the cabin. Bring the grill and blender up we should have plenty of party room. I think we may even have a fire pit there.

Well howdy neighbor, I'll bring the bourbon, Kentucky style of course.

Maybe you don't remember do to too many adult cocktails but I was there two years ago with the coolest little boat on the lake. :D

How are the water cops on LC?

They aren't bad at all. Unless you are acting like a complete idiot, they leave you alone. As long as your beverage is in a cup or covered with a coozy, they usually just wave and keep on cruising by. I have been boating there for years and years and have never had a problem from them. I think they realize that the lake is pretty much what keeps the towns surrounding it alive economically, so they don't want to chase people off. But if you are acting the fool, they have no problem hauling you off to jail. I can honestly say that every person I have seen hauled off has deserved to go.

I like what i'm hearing . I was planning on trying to quiet down my boat for this trip but like it better the way it is. The cops love to get out the little noise gadget every time they see me running. The judge and I have become great friends and we really keep the courtroom loose and a fun environment. I think I will invest the exhaust money in liquor instead.:cheers::cheers::cheers:
