Mercury Water pump problems

Chris my friend at the merc dealership said that a weak battery causes the motor not to fire/crank. My understanding is that you have to have at least a 900 amp battery to crank the engine. He said that this engine is similar the FICHT evinrudes which requires alot of juice to fire/crank the engine.
Glad to hear you got off with an easy fix. Any EFI motor needs to have a battery that is as hot as a firecracker. It is not that it is so hard to turn over but that the electronics need a good battery even after it is running. A bad battery can damage your ECU. Buy the highest cranking amp marine battery you can find.

Thanks Guys!!! The next day i'll get will be about month from now. My son's b-day is coming up and I've got a jungle gym to put together.:D

Chris can we change the title of this thread so that it might help someone else in the future. Maybe something like Mercury Water pump problems.
