My 08 - 2100BR Project

i was just out running it then it acted like it was not getting enough gas,
the rpm's were down, then would pick back up, took it to the shop,
they cleaned them and i've never looked back,

i'd say trying to turn a yankee boat into a southern boat,
its in the water you know

your EyeBrows work great, my hair is to short to mess up, so no hat
needed,

are you thinking of going to the checkmate owners rally, have a couple of guys here thinking about it, just renting a houseboat and tie the boats up to it

Todays progress!

Started out this a.m. bored drinking a cup of coffee and decided I didnt like the C-Hawk trailer decals. Snapped a shot of the logo on the side of the boat and digitized into my sign system and cut new logos for the trailer.
Then got got a wild hair to started guttn the interior since the new carpet and trim pcs all showed today. I think I will be doing some other work before starting the carpet though since everything is so easy to get at now. Need to install a shoot thru hull depth finder, pull some sterio wiring for front and side speaker, ad another battery and mount and an on board charging system ect. Lot a of work to go yet.

Good luck mh2508! Looks like you will have one nice boat when you are done.

BUT why would a dealer (or anyone) let a brand new boat that they are trying to sell set out in the elements and deteriorate? It doesn't make sense.

I cant open the ebay original ad but sure sounds like the place, I saw they were a can-am dealer when I was there. Didnt look like much of a boat dealer by any means. From what I gathered there were two parnters one was the owner the other operator. Had a falling out and owner got left with some inventory that was not taken care of very well. At this point in the game sure seems to have worked out for me though.

So this is proof that he was using a shill bidder (employee, wife, buddy, who knows) to bid the boat up rather than use a reserve price. We could put this all together and get the guy banned from Ebay, but who wants to bother with it.......................

Jackplate?

Hey guys how about little info on a hydraulic jack if you will. I am thinking 10'' CMC Hydraulic. Any reason to stay away from that or is there something better ect???? My Flats Jak on my skeeter has the pump in the boat. I dont like that because it is another set of hydraulic lines coming out. I want to keep it simple and clean back in the splashwell.

I see that dealer has a yellow 2008 1850br with a 115hp Evinrude. It looks a little under powered. What kind of numbers do you think it would pull? I see the max hp rating is 175hp.

there was a yellow one and an orange one left when I was there. I think the yellow one is gone but not for sure. They were at $22,800 last time I talked to them. I dont quite understand that because that is conciderably more than I gave them for the 2100 with a 200ho on it.

I put a 5.5" CMC Hi-Speed on last year and it's been great. One of the complaints I'd heard about CMC's when I was shopping was that they were too slow.

This one moves real good, but I can't compare to others as this was my first jack plate.

You're right, didn't like the idea of installing external pump and lines. :irked:

Got mine from www.boatownersworld.com, best price I could find at the time delivered with no tax. Had no problems with them at all.

Bob's 12" Hyd j/p! Looks great, works great. IMO best bang for the buck...

I called them, they said the 1850 was still available, the 20' BR was "pending" @ $22k or something....

Looks like Bobs plates all have the internally mounting pumps in the boat unlike the CMCs correct?

I guess what I was after is there any reason to stay away from the CMCS hydraulics? Figured it would be the easiest replacement to just remove my 5'' manual CMC and install a new 10 '' hydraulic one and be done.

You'll be fine, everyone has their opinion on which is best, but you're buying a jackplate that many, many people use. Bob's & CMC sell the most.

I'd just make sure to get the Hi-Speed. Should cost you no more than $955 including gauge and top/bottom washer plates delivered to your door.

What is the top and bottom washer plate? Come with it standard or need to be purchased seperately. Also do they make a different contol swith for them vs just a toggle switch? My buddies CMC has a toggle on dash. I would like thumb buttons or blinker style switch on steering column??
