Thanks for posting my pics I'm secound owner of this Trimate 2 and my plans to totally restore the floor next year, this summer there is a 200hp 2.4 Black Max going on it and a 6" set back hydrolic jack plate on it with a exaust manifold on it, spindle mount 24 pitch chopper prop, custom stereo and I fixed the wood in the bottom of the factory seats and remounted the buckets, when I re-do the floor I want to send the top to checkmate to have the top re-done like it is. I love this site thanks again Reed

I love this site thanks again Reed[, I almost forgot the motor shown in the pic is a 1968 110 Merc and with a 17 pitch my Trimate was going 45-50mph, it has 120 lbs compression on all 6 cylinders and it's for sale

Thats a cool color, I dont think I've seen that color on a Checkmate before.

LOL!!

I thought so. Love those old Mates! Of course the interior needs to be done and the floor is giving. Sounds like a winter project that needs to be done in time.

I just wanted you to know that I took the vinyl off the bucket seats and carefully trimmed the bad wood out and cut a piece to match and re-glassed it in so they should last a while longer. I'm re-doing my floor this winter, I did a repair to the floor under the back seat for this season. I do have a question for the *Checkmate Gods * I found when I pulled the bad wood out of the floor that it's full is( sprayed in foam ) there are no drain tunnels or tubes run for moisture or condensation , can the Gods explain this design please??? Thanks from a devoted wannabe

Found the same thing under my floor Reed. Saturated foam and rotted stringer and no way for water to excape. No foam under my floor now and talk about drain holes! I put drain holes all over the place. I even have drain holes in my seat boxes. Keep up the good work!!

I am sure I will run into these problems. If you have some pics of your interior can you send them to me? How about your floor? Any pics you have would be great for my project. I rebuilt the driver seat and passeneger seat but used the old vinyl a few years ago. Now the boat needs to be stripped and totally redone. Just don't have the time right now. I will get to it when I can.

I have a really cool Idea for a little extreme boat, last summer I saw a real nice trimate with the 4 cylinder I/O in it, ( a light bulb came on in my speed feark head ) I have a real nice 327 chevy motor that would really make that lil- trimate fly. ( enternally balance it and instant speed )
