Tri-mate 2 over haul.

Great pictures,I am in the process of pulling the back off my 73Mx15 and those pictures are a big help. I have never played with glass before and any ideas or advice is a big help. Would you do it all again?

DaveJ. glad the pictures where helpful. Yea I would do it again, not real soon, but I would.
If at all possable try to leave the back (stern) transom skin on and work from the inside. On eof the biggest problems I had was putting the back skin on. It would be easy to split the hull and work from the inside. Let me know if i can help.

Well after spending another afternoon sanding I would like to say its getting close. One side done with a few places to fix. The other side to go. Blueprinting the hull is a major pain. Getting everything strieght is the hard part. I guess its better to spend the time on it now then be very unhappy with it if it was not as right as I could make it.

Boat is sanded with 320. I found about 15 spots I have to touch up yet. Oh the joy of body work.
Still have a bit of work to do on the pad. The transistion on the sides where it blends back into the hull is not right in some spots.

looks good so far but will that pad make it faster or slower?
I cant wait to see this baby in action...what are you estimating top speed at, 80+?
it should really move with a 200

Boston, in theory the pad should be worth about 8 mph. We shall see when the testing starts. I am shooting for the 80 mark.

I have said before. Its going to do one of two things, go fast and handle. Or go real slow and look great doing it. LOL. I am hoping for the first one.

It should be real fun trying to tune the motor to run at 4000ft. I am hoping that the rest of the mods that where done allow me to have about the same RPM.

4000' you're going to need to re-jet. Less air so it'll run too rich, you need to lean it up to make up for the lack of air........................
