That is looking sweet. Weather looks good down there. Its freezing cold and snowing up here.
I have to say that your 90 Tower looks amazing. I wish I had a need for that motor because it looks sweet. Have you had any bites on it?

Adam we had 1" of smow early that same morning but then the temp got up to 45 and it all melted away. Mr6 I have never worked in glass and wood before but I have worked with my hands for the last 21 years as an automotive tech. Yes you can find a lot of good reading on boat restoration. For the best feedback I think you need to go to the "Props Setups and Rigging" section and ask the same question as a new topic. You should get a number of suggestions by posting your question in that section. I'm happy to answer all of your questions as best I can but we have a bunch of members that are experts.Cooperider worked for the Chackmate factory building our boats. Members like Chris, JW,175Checkmate and Boatman have have years and years of knowledge to pull from. Give that a try

Most of what I have learned was from trial and error. If I had to do my project over again I would probably use half the resin. Thats one of the nice things about doing fiberglass repair/modification work. If you don't like the way it comes out, you can sand it off and try again.
I am in the same boat as wicked. I turn wrenches. Work work for me is a challenge. I always have trouble with the angle-of-the-dangle. Fun stuff.

Did you regel the outside or just polish and wax?

I am on a learning curve with my TRV as well. I have always been a wrench. My first boat I bought(not a mate)was in great shape but the motor was shot. Got it for a deal and a few weekends and a rebuild later I had a good boat. Fiberglass work is completely new to me. The only thing I have done that even comes close is some work with epoxy and silicone casting/molding of small parts.

no power tools were used. I don't really know why except it seemed to be really hard to get around all the rigging and hardware. I used HellerGlanz restorer wax. Only 3/4 of the way done, still need to do the left side below the rail and the entire bottom.
 
Worked on the boat today mounted and wired all the gauges. Installed and wired the switch plate,running lights and bilge pump.
 
The next thing is some plumming work. Run the speedo, water pressure hoses and the hydro steering lines. Looks like it may be tough to re-route the steering lines in a way that they work and look good. We will see!!

Wicked, I was reading a thread on Scream and fly that discussed whether or not to wax the bottom of the boat. Some were claiming that it actually made it faster but most agreed that waxing actually slowed it down, making it kind of sticky and draging in the water. Its just something to think about if top end is what you want.

A few years back I put something on the bottom of the boat that was suppose to make it faster. Dont remmber what the product was called, but I didnt like it. It stayed greasy and didnt dry on. It did nothing for my speed so I took it off.
 
Boston and Adam, that's correct from what I'm told. They tell me the a super smooth bottom is in fact slower than a rougher bottom finish. The super smooth finishd dosn't allow aereation. Kind of like a small chop on the water is faster than dead calm water.
 
I'm done with most everything inside the boat. All that's left is hang and connect the Black Max, Hook up the hydro steering and bleed, Replace the fuel tank sending unit and install tank, put the seats back in and test run
