Hope he's not talking about Me, I know I made the plans and they fell thru. Since March 1st I had some serious set backs, Both personal and professional and a Gosh dang (kid friendly) blockage in the cooling system of merc that 2 trips to the shop has not cleared completely yet. So I'm not sure if even Cumberland is in the cards this yr too! I went without a boat last yr and I won't be doing that again. "By the way Thanks Again Gary".

Where was everyone at 10 to 15 yrs ago when I was pulling my nice "NEW" checkmate from one end of continent to the other! Taking off anywhere from 5 days to 3 weeks with just a tent, pocket full of money and a ripped out page from some magazine about some cool boating destination. And if I wasn't on the road I was home on the water 3 or4 days a week burning up 35 -40 tanks a summer!

But, I digress. After 20 yrs of living the life style HardCore. I'm not really minding taking season or two off. In time I'll find me another little honey who enjoys the on the water adventures as much as myself. And the stalite will be long gone by then Hopfully, and a deep v in its place. But who knows I might even be full of B.S.

Ya, what was that quote from John Lennon about "life is what happens when you are busy making other plans"?

When we (the wifey and I) agreed to make the trip. all was well on the homefront. About 2 weeks after we started making plans she go tlaid off and has been off work ever since. Puts a pretty big damper on things cuz she has a pretty darn good job and there are quite a few zeros misiing from the ole household income now.

I hear ya, Captain or was it Lt. or BC I can't remember. I went from 6 checks a month to 2.
 
650 miles and 11 or so hours on the road sounds possible:sssh: ericK and i are trying to make some plans to make the trip and drink all of big reds beer:cheers: will confirm soon:thumb:

Yeah... its pretty close timing. I have a few parts left to show up before its ready!!!! I'm not 100% its going to be ready? Might be down in the 21, if I have to... its just me going for now, so I can pass out in the floor of the 21 easy enough.

With just getting started at the new job a week or two prior to the rally, I probably won't ask for a day off- just come down Friday after work, so that puts me there most likely at 10-11pm.. as long as everything works out ok. I figure I can head to whatever campground the crowd is at and spend the night, or launch the boat and meet up with those on the water? I'll see what develops as it gets closer.

We will have our HD video camera with us, for anyone wanting some good HQ video of their boat running flat out. And for documenting any behaviours that may need to be reviewed.!!!

I just got this confirmed last night,anyone attending the rally can get there boat washed for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is complements of Ross's Boat Washing Service. :poke:
 
I also hear Abby is buying a bikini:drool:. I guess MI weather only permits hoodies and sweats:poke:!! Ross, don't forget, only the soft wash mitt for my boat ;):bigthumb:;):bigthumb:;)
