Checkmate Forum Shirts

Ross that would be up to Chris as to additional designs, I'll ask though. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Hi Guys,

As Robbie mentioned, the forums 10th anniversary will be coming this September. So we were thinking about doing something to mark the event.

Currently, we're talking to Zubriks about getting some shirts made up. We haven't placed an order nor do we have a hard quote, we're just in the info gathering stage as this point and wanted to gauge interest first.

We can put two or three boats on the graphic.

Here's a link to a few samples Zubrick's have done in the past.

We were hoping to put two or three boats on the illustration and we were hoping to supply three pictures of boats that belong to forum members.

At this point, we would like your input on which models you would like to see included and if you have some suggested pics, that would help too.

It's not really feasable to do more than one illustration due to the set up costs etc.

We can't really tell you how much the shirts will cost, at this point we're really just trying to guage interest. The final cost we are going to try to set as close as possible to whatever the shirts cost us to make and then each member will pay for their own shipping either from Robbie (U.S. Members) or myself (Canadian Members).

If you also have interest in some other things like stickers etc. let us know and perhaps we can also look at doing something up with Rob (ezstiper) if he's agreeable.

I'd rock a small sticker on my side glass. Theres alot of mates in my area that have no idea about the forum.

I can digitally print the small ones off a EPS file....in order to get the best price on the shirts the design needs to be the same..

I vote for the ZT244/350 on the back...:rof:

Seriously, I would be down for one. I could care less what Checkmate Model is on the shirt. The only thing that I will say is that Checkmate has been known for thier O/B boats and the Forum follows that tradition in membership, so there should be a O/B on the shirt as one of the 3 boats.

Why not use something vintage like a jetmate. Then a boat that was offered new the year the forum was started and for the last boat a boat from the current model year.

Feel free to use a pic of my Vision --- no copyrights needed :bigthumb:

All kidding aside, {actually I wasn't kidding} just make sure you include the forum website address on the shirt -- as somebody already stated, there are quite a few Mate owners in my area that were {are} not aware of this site.

i'd be interested in a couple of shirts.

2100 pulsare is a logical choice, i think the starflite should be included too. i wonder what the best selling checkmate hull ever was? if it's not one of those two, then it could be a contender too.

The Pulsare 2100 is going on 20 years in production! It has got to be close to #1.

The Pulsare 2100 will be one of the boats. I suggested using Josh's "bright friggin red" Pulsare as one of the boats and Jetmate's "Jetmate as another. But it's up to the members what they would like to see/wear on the shirt. I'm sure there will be a vote on the boats once we nail down three.

I like the idea of having one or two boats at rest and one at speed with a bit of a roost behind it.

All of the sample shirts are all performance oriented and the banners are loud.

I would stay away from dating the shirt. Just showing 10 years will allow it to be worn much longer without raising eyebrows.

OH, and a white shirt will look good.

Just some thoughts here. :bigthumb:
