CHECKMATES NEW 43 FOOTER

i saw the FB posting on my screen and my reaction was YES!

i had a good conversation with them last LC meeting on all different kind of life issues. i am happy with their choice.
my idea was it would be bought by someone who has the cash and not the feeling with the brand. or boat at all. sitting at a dock to show off or something.

this boat is one of a kind in the checkmate family. i wish them the best with the boat!

I hear you Helmich. The Punisher could not have went to a better couple. I am really happy to see it go to a genuine Checkmater. Cant wait to see it at Higgins Lake . :thumb:

So does that mean since they sold it that CM has time to start on the next 43? LOL sadly its probably the only one ever will be made.

Actually I when I spoke to Joe the other day I asked him his thoughts on the numbers the punisher was getting. Bascially, he was unimpressed and explained a comperable hustler with the same power would be a 115-120mph boat. But I'm sure alot more $$$ as well. As he explained to me a stepped hull config is very specialized, if its done correctly you will get very positive results.
So its pretty safe to say the punisher is one of a kind and possibly a collectors item one day. When you look at the CM/Hustler lineup
there would be no gaps the punisher could fill, in that catagory of boat.

You beat me too it. 20-30 mph faster is a far stretch.

Hey dont shoot the messenger. Just sayn what the man told me. Didnt get into drive & transmission configs. Or what setup w/700's would achieve those stated speeds. Basically, I think the punisher is a Sick looking boat but moving forward if your in the market for a 40 + foot boat from Global Marine.........It will be a Hustler !!!

Not shooting. I agree with the punisher is most likley a one off boat. Hustler has that size market already. I'm just happy "one of us" bought it and I can't wait to see it.

Bill (check253) hasn't relized yet, that with purchase of this boat also comes with,
posting every picture of wash, wax, fill up, and any other move the boat makes.:bigthumb:

JJG, you just don't ever have anything nice to say, do you???? You can't even be happy that a fellow, long time Checkmate fan/owner has bought it, and will take very good care of it! This is his 4th Checkmate. What is wrong with you?? We really don't care what somebody else thinks something might do. You and Joe are delusional. I met Joe at the Miami boat show last February and is good dude, I'm glad they are trying to save "our" brand.

You want to get on here and say that somebody else's design could gain 25 more MPH? Whatever!! 700's dealing with roughly 10k lbs, is about right to achieve the low 90's. This ole' girl (hull) was designed and proven to be a wave crusher, which it did and will still do. While the owner's group and Checkmate never got to finish their testing, for reasons you don't need to know, they did make improvements to the design which needs to be final tuned, and is being discussed. You want to get on here and make this thing out to be some kind of turd, that's nice. It takes power to push weight through the water and a set up to minimize wet surface area. If there was ever a guy to put more power/set up to this beautiful boat Checkmate took pride into building, Boy, is it in the right hands! That may come with time, or may not. The owners may just use it like it is and enjoy the ***** out of it.

Not everything in boating is about top speed, it's also about handling, ride characteristics, and dependability. We all want to worry about the top speed....why? What does that really matter? As long as you are happy with how the boat performs for you, then other people don't need to worry about it. I'm not shooting the messenger, sometimes you can just keep your mouth shut, and it be better that way.

I would have said some of these very things you you personally at the owner rally this past summer, but you fell asleep, or something, during the middle of the day.

Dude, calm down. Im not bashing the boat or the person that owns it. I think the boat is AWESOME personally. The point I was trying to make was the fact it is a one off boat nothing else. I never said it was a turd you did. Hey ill give you the chance to say whatever you want to me PM me and ill give you my number and you can tell me whats on your mind Mr. Sizzle Chest. Not sure what your reading into but your delusions seem to be over running reality. They have medication for this problem now.

I agree, merc is an marine power genius !!! And for the only one of its kind (kinda like the motas he builds) what better owner could have it !!!
He actually called the factory monday when I was there checking the fuel tank size. The new screws will be thirsty !!!

i am sure he will pamper that thing like a baby.

dave and i have shared a short running movie on FB.

If this machine ever makes it's way anywhere close to Ontario Canada, somebody please shoot me a pm. Would love to see it in person!

Lets clarify this statement, I simply passed on the opinions that Joe of Hustler expressed to me, nothing more. If you read the previous posts the question was being asked if another Punisher could be in the cards. By the statements made by Joe concerning his view on the performance I would say not. If you read and understood my post I quoted another persons opinion NOT my own. Nothing in my post was intended to malign the boat or the person that owns it now. It was simply intended to give insight to this community concerning the direction of our brand. If you want more clarity on this I suggest you call Joe and discuss it directly with him. Or try Hooked on Phonics, it's worked wonders for many.:shakehead:
