Yes its a 283 with a platform. I have been looking for a nice used trailer for mine but nothing decent out there. I would bet a little more than 6k new. A nice deal and 1 of a kind on the graphics I would think.

Depends on whether or not it has the notched transom. The orange one at Kunkels does not have it and I believe Jason told me it runs around 64. The notched transom would add 1-2mph. And like ProblemChild said, add a ProCharger and hold the eff on!!!

I am having C-Hawk build me a new trailer for my 253 this spring and Dave quoted me $3800. That's with all LED lightning, aluminum wheels, and disc brakes on all four wheels. Also painted one solid color and two colors of pinstripes (my choice) with PPG paint. Being that a 300 (283) is only 3 feet longer, I would bet its not a whole lot more than that.
 
I would ask the seahawk guys if they're doing a better job then putting 5 wood screws thru the fender into wood inner fender panel on a dual axel. I'm just saying. Started on reworking mine today with wood that will be resined and with 10 thru bolts and two more true bolts at the bottom of the center brace that happen come untack welded from the fender itself. I'm going to have to drill 2 holes thru the brace and fender itself and thru bolt them together too. Nothing I hate more then going down the road as a raddle trap.
They build a hansom trailer that pulls like a champ, they just need to re-engineer their fender system. IMOP

270's are 259's with the swim platform included. The 259 is just a little bit longer and wider than a 253. Someone else could prolly tell you more but I think its 6" longer and not sure on how much wider..

I'd give him $6000 cash if the motor is in excellent condition. Problem is it's a days drive from SC.:( I can repair anything else. I'd like to see pictures of the bilge area and transom up close.

Edit: I was going to try to get down to Norris in September again with Dave and Will and Brian and all of them! I still dont have a boat to run so I could easily have an empty hitch for the trip!
