I called about this one yesterday.
Says the boats an '85 (???) and motors are '89's.
Pretty rough and no title.
I may try and call about the free one today.
I may be out of time though before starting a new job.
Gary,
Here's a thread on that same boat: http://checkmate-boats.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30095
He just texted me and offered me the boat only no motors or trailer for $2,500. Probably not too bad of a price. The paints actually pretty decent.
He just called me and I offered $1,500 and he countered with $2k. Would my trailer under my 25' Convincor work to go get it?

I would think taking the motors off would increase the tongue weight so you'd have to slide the axles up? I wouldn't be surprised if it was OK without moving them at all.
Yep. Exactly right.I would think taking the motors off would increase the tongue weight so you'd have to slide the axles up? I wouldn't be surprised if it was OK without moving them at all.
