Certainly looks very clean for its age. One owner, low hours, and stored indoors it’s whole life. I think you will see how much the previous owner cared for the boat when you go to look at it. Hopefully the ad and reality align

hey guys. I have been thinking about picking this boat up. What are peoples thoughts about the 301?
True 30 ft boat, no swim platform, don’t know for sure but don’t think Checkmate made a lot of these, at least not a lot come up for sale so I think they are less common than the 303/320 Convincor but there aren’t a lot of those around either. I like the blue and gold on this one, not sure about the green or is it teal? as that looks washed out it the pictures, maybe it’s sharp looking in person but teal seems to not age as well?
Not a lot of space between those big blocks, but hopefully and usually you don’t have to get in there very often.
I don’t know what all Checkmate changed between this and the 303/320 but I think it’s narrower, the cockpit area and dash look a little different to my eye. Not sure which I prefer, would have to see them both in person and that’s not going to happen for me.

I love the comments. for my tastes / back longevity I need to go bigger than 25’. As I only run maybe 50 - 60 hours per year I’m balancing dollars, community, and reasonableness. I’d wait for a 303/320 if I knew they were better. This thing looks like a time capsule therefore seams nearly reasonably priced for a 30’ boat.

Same hull, style lines were filled in on the mold to make the sides smooth, new deck mold for updated look.

Coop, i believe CM (from the 301 deck to the 303/320) eliminated the ‘wing’ storage departments behind the bolsters to open the cockpit up, moved the dash rearward to make for a longer fore deck and re-designed the cabin hatchway. Not sure if the helm is the same as the 301. ‘Trips to Win’ went from a 301 deck to the 303 deck w- the same hull.

Drop, let us know what you find out if you go look at it. Not sure if it’s the camera/light but the green stripe on the sides of the deck look darker than the helm green. If it’s been garage kept like stated.... hopefully it will buff out.

Good luck-

Boat Parts in Nashville Craigslist, (Antioch) there is a boat for $700, inline Merc, no title, sure looks like an old, small Checkmate, sorry, I don't know how to post it.
