Good day, fellow madness)))

Immediately apologize for my language, I am writing to you through a translator.

The very latest technology has to get involved in the water, and began in 2009 with a 5.6 meter boat with an outboard motor DF140.

Recently, on the occasion of a random one found a dusty garage boat that no one is used for a long time. I liked it very much, with their uniqueness. This model STARLET 1987 release. Since Russia is not a dealer of the brand hoping for help from the members of this community. I hope to find a response to their requests and questions. And I will be their lot.

Now I have an understanding that the boat is not really in a pickle. Found presently crack in the exhaust manifold. Trying to weld cracks or look for a used this detail? The engine I have is the OMC 3.8L 1983 release. What is its power?

With respect to all those present, Vladimir.

:welcome:

I am of no help with your questions but i am sure that there will be help for you! there is an amazing wealth of knowledge on this forum and many willing to help out!

WELCOME !! OMC 3.8 is a buick V6 you may be able to have somebody weld the cast iron and get away with it...not sure of the aftermarket coverage on that engine...but they did build quite a few for several years...try osco for a replacement..not sure what you have available over there, the engines themselves were very good and GM used them for years in about every brand of car at some point...so basic engine parts not to bad to come by, power wise that should be about 175hp...good luck ! Rob

nope, the 3.8 was a buick engine for years, not like the 4.3 at all, it found its way into camaro's, firebirds, monte carlo's etc later on called the 3800

Chevy built a 3.8 too. If the distributor is in the front it's a Buick and in the back if it's a Chevy.

Don't know if they ever used it in a boat though.

Late 70's early 80's. Chevy built 3.8 and a 3.3 90* V-6. Both were basically predecessors to the 4.3 that was used all over the place.

Welcome aboard Vladimir, nice to have you with us. :)

I think you might be our first member from Russia. :thumb:
